Course Description: This interactive 2-day course teaches you how to use Google Analytics 4 and search engine optimization (SEO) to get more people to your website and online content. You’ll learn why it’s important for government agencies to use these tools, and get an overview of what Google Analytics 4 and SEO are.
The course covers setting goals, developing a content strategy, researching keywords, planning and creating content using AI writing tools, following best practices for SEO copywriting that is accessible to people with disabilities, optimizing web pages for better rankings, measuring performance in Google Analytics, and taking a deep dive into all the reporting features of Google Analytics 4.
Through hands-on activities and real examples, you’ll learn how to integrate SEO into your content marketing in a way that takes advantage of the data and insights from Google Analytics 4. By the end, you’ll know how to use these powerful tools together to improve your online presence and get better results.
Prerequisites: Students must have a good working knowledge of computers, operating systems, using a mouse, keyboard, standard menus and commands. Students must be able to open, save, and close applications, files, as well as navigate to other folders. It is highly recommended that you bring your login credentials for your organization’s Google Analytics account, or your personal Google Analytics account to training (Read and Analyze Access is acceptable), in order to make this course the most effective for you. This will allow you to implement what you learn immediately after the course.
