Christine Abunassar, CEO & Founder, ThinkB!G.LearnSmart
Christine Abunassar, Founder and CEO of ThinkB!G.LearnSmart, launched her career in the early 1980s, at the rise of the IT industry, bringing new technologies to market. In a tipping point for the first visual communications and presentation technologies, Christine was the U.S. Air Force Strategic Alliance Director leading the adoption, training and deployment worldwide of Harvard Graphics by Software Publishing Corporation.
Recognizing technologies would not reach user adoption without a skilled workforce, Christine spearheaded the delivery method of using technology to train and certify IT professionals–from anywhere. This led to Christine joining the original founders of Skillsoft, then known as CBT Systems, in the early 1990s, to forge the Microsoft Strategic Alliance that launched the industry’s first technology-delivered certification training for Microsoft Certified Professionals. Christine designed and implemented the strategy and execution for using technology to train and certify Microsoft channel partners, customers, and employees worldwide. In this monumental shift and adoption of online learning as a viable, scalable training delivery alternative, a new industry standard for eLearning skills development was established. This innovative thinking, process improvement methodology, and passion for empowering it clients with skills are the pillars of ThinkB!G.LearnSmart.
With the foresight to accelerate learning performance to deploy skills training as a strategy, ThinkB!G was established as an eLearning consulting and development firm in 2000. In 2007 the company expanded its services and facility as an Authorized Certification Training and Testing Center for Adobe, Apple, Articulate and Microsoft. The company trains and consults prestigious government and commercial clients nationwide. ThinkB!G created a unique model of learning with its Project Based Training® where clients can “Learn While You Build” incorporating production as part of learning. The company’s belief is that “Learning is Personal” giving clients that custom service specific to their organization’s needs.
Headquartered in Columbia, MD, the company is a U.S. Government Small Business Administration Certified 8(M) Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) and GSA IT Schedule 70 Contract holder. Christine has previously served on the Technology Advisory Board for Howard Community College, Chair of the Howard County Maryland Equal Business Opportunity Commission, as well as Networking Chair and Board Member of the Howard Technology Council.
